Gorghi

In sailing, one adverse event to avoid is that of the whirlpool. It originates in particular conditions when two strong currents that proceed in opposite directions collide.

This huge swirling chasm in the water threatens to swallow everything and everybody.

To be engulfed. Not to be able to free oneself from a spiral that wraps us and pushes us to the bottom.

The perfect metaphor for a psychological condition that sometimes I have experienced.

The unstable rhythm of the composition, a melody that always chases itself.  

This is how I have tried to render those states of mind, knowing that they can release substantial regenerative energy in the ultimate analysis.
