Pacifico

 Antonio Pigafetta, the only Italian among the survivors of the great enterprise of Magellan, narrates in his diaries that he has finally succeeded in the dramatic crossing of the channel that separates the two oceans, advancing into a sea that appeared infinite. The Captain called it 'Pacifico’.
